Live Nativity in Winston Salem NC

A Child is Born Drive-Thru Nativity

[frame_right]Winston Salem Drive-Thru Nativity[/frame_right]The Christmas season is a time for making memories and building traditions. St. John’s Annual Live Nativity provides a comfortable, welcoming venue for families to gather in a unique setting and experience the joy of Christmas.

On December 15 & 16 St. John’s Lutheran Church & School will be presenting “A Child is Born Drive-Thru Nativity”. From 6-8 pm on these two evenings, guests can drive through St. John’s campus as they gaze upon a live nativity scene, complete with manger, wise men, shepherds, animals and more.

Special Interests for Children

[frame_right]Childrens Choir at Live Nativity[/frame_right]There will be a children’s angel choir singing for the guests as they drive through. Also there will be a petting zoo if children would like to get out to get a closer look at the animals.

Family Christmas Photos

Have your memories preserved by a photographer while you journey through Bethlehem to witness the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Each member of your family can put on one of the many costumes and pose for a picture with a live donkey in the stable. Photos will be emailed to you at no charge.

Giving Back

[frame_right]Live Nativity Angel[/frame_right]Take this opportunity to give back by donating to charities serving people in Winston-Salem. The two charities supported this year are the St. John’s Food Bank (non-perishable food items) and the Children’s Home of Winston-Salem. If you wish to support these causes you may drop off your donation as you enter the display.

The Children’s Home of Winston-Salem needs the following items: batteries: AA and AAA, sports balls and equipment, books, board games, wrapping paper, MP3 players, tennis shoes, jewelry, etc.

In addition, St. John’s will be providing many other ways to serve and celebrate the Christmas season.

  • Christmas programs will be held during Wednesday Chapel Services and on specific evenings.
  • St. John’s Youth will make luminaries for the Children’s Home Tree Lighting Ceremony and will assist in the ceremony.
  • There will be a Children’s Cocoa & Caroling activity night on December 19 beginning at 5:00 pm.

My children received a quality Christian education here. The entire staff molded my children into the caring Christian adults that they are today! I thank God for this school, the staff both present and past who have made this school a beacon of light in our community.
Martha B.Parent
I am so thankful that my grandson, Colin, is in a spiritual environment and embraced with love. He is safe and secure in St. John’s environment and for this I am also thankful. I enjoyed Grandparents’ Day tremendously.
Barbara Q.Grandparent
St. John’s Lutheran School helped my sons become the wonderful Christian men they are, and this school has blessed me as a teacher because I get to watch and help our students grow in God’s love and become who God intends them to be.
