On Saturday, October 20, St. John’s Lutheran Church & School invited the community to bring their children out to enjoy Trunk-or-Treat. Members of the Church and School opened the trunks of their cars for an exciting time of sharing candy and prizes to the children. Trunk-or-Treat was a big success this year with approximately 20 cars decorated. You never know what might be in the trunk of a car.
Sara Agee, DCE for St. John’s Lutheran Church, used the theme “The Empty Tomb”. Sara had the trunk of her car displayed as a crime scene investigation (CSI) and the tomb stone had been rolled away. Jesus’ body was nowhere to be found, but we know where Jesus is, and hopefully so do you. Everyone young and old had a wonderful time of fellowship, enjoying the activities, and of course the candy. We are looking forward to Trunk-or-Treat again in the fall of 2013, and hopefully you will join us.
